Warm and intimate pop-folk that crosses borders
Bianca Steck is a young musician, singer, songwriter and architect from Barcelona with British and German roots, currently living in Brussels. Classically trained but with an intuitive approach, she started writing her own songs at the age of 15, exploring different harmonies and sounds that matched her inner attitude towards music. Her lyrics are meaningful and play an important role in her work, as they tell stories and connect her songs more broadly to a folk and pop music tradition. Always with an intimate tone that flows naturally into her voice. Her debut album will be released soon, produced together with Catalan pianist and composer Nil Ciuró.
This concert is a part of ABVolta, a residency collaboration in which Volta residents receive customised support from Ancienne Belgique.
In just a few years, Volta has emerged as an indispensable organisation in the Brussels fabric when it comes to developing young musical talent. To allow these artists to progress optimally, they joined forces with the AB team.
Thanks to this collaboration, these artists are supported in the most sustainable way possible.
