Lady Blaxx Invites is a unique concert night featuring a range of female artists of colour worth discovering. For this, Lady Blaxx invites several emerging artists who break the stereotype around female artists of colour. Expect a warm musical evening and short in-depth conversations with the various artists.
LINE-UP:
Lady Blaxx creates a refreshing and compelling sound with her unique blend of alternative pop, rock and afro-funk influences. Her live performances are legendary and energetic with an unparalleled stage presence. Lady Blaxx has a gift for mesmerising audiences, inviting them to dance, dream and enjoy the moment.
Nanakill is an emerging R&B singer from the suburbs of Brussels and began her musical journey three years ago. Her debut mixtape, 'Fairy Dust vol.1', was released on Soundcloud in 2019. Nanakill is a versatile artist with influences from R&B, soul and rap. She draws inspiration from artists such as Destiny's Child, Missy Elliot, Lil' Kim and Erykah Badu, among others.
Anna Winkin is an alternative soul artist who draws inspiration from nature and spirituality as well as African and classical music. With her music, she brings a message of hope and love with which she invites her audience to come to themselves for a moment. Her compelling melodies in her latest singles 'Self-Love' (2022) and 'Leveling-Up' (2023) are also sometimes reminiscent of Alicia Keys (from the 'Songs In A Minor'-era).
Host of the evening: Reine Mbote
Reine Mbote is a multilingual presenter and communicator who has worked as a journalist at the VRT and at several regional newsrooms. During her professional career, she gained valuable experience as a political spokesperson and consultant specializing in decolonization. In addition, she is the presenter and producer of the podcast What's Up With - Reine? An engaging platform where challenging topics are discussed in an enlightening way, with guests from all over the world.

Black History Month Belgium and AB are joining forces for another edition of BHM. This year's theme is ‘New Beginnings: Celebrating Resurgence’. We are putting on a new programme in the month of March, with new collaborations, emerging talent and artists ready with new music.
