Watch here the AB Session of Arid.
'Tied To The Hands' is the third single from the new ARID album 'All Things Come In Waves'. The band around singer Jasper Steverlinck placed itself in the spotlight again in the spring of 2007 with the single 'Words', which resulted in a series of sold-out concerts in 2008 (including the Main Hall of the AB in January ). In the spring of 2009 the band will be extending with an extensive theatre tour, with an avant-première in Mechelen on 16 January and a première in the ABTheater on Saturday 17 January.
After their Rock Rally final in 1996 (the grand crû year with Novastar, Tom Helsen and An Pierlé) Arid was rightly offered a record deal. In 2000 their debut 'Little Things Of Venom' was released with the assistance of Piet Goddaer (Ozark Henry) and David Dewaele (Soulwax). The singles 'Life' and 'Believer' immediately brought the band to the attention of the greater public. In 2002 the follow-up 'All Is Quiet Now' was released with the hit singles 'You Are' and 'Everlasting Change', but that very same year Jasper Steverlinck went solo and scored a monster-hit with his version of 'Life On Mars', with thanks to David Bowie for the original song and to the Kolacny brothers for the framework. His solo debut 'Songs Of Innocence' was also a great success.
