Progressive metal virtuosity squared!
In the form of ‘The Joy Of Motion’, the progressive metal and ever instrumental Animals as Leaders have again delivered an intriguing piece of work, full of virtuoso, in jazz/fusion drenched sledgehammer riffs and pulverizing drum parts. Just like the self-titled debut from '09, this third issue was recorded with producer/guitarist (of Periphery) Misha Mansoor who again served as wingman and sounding board for Animals as Leaders chief Tosin Abasi. Out on Sumerian Records, the label of the likes of The Dillinger Escape Plan, Periphery, Veil Of Maya, and After The Burial.
