Due to circumstances beyond our control Christine Abdelnour will be replaced for her duo concert with The Ex guitarist Andy Moor by the Polish, in Amsterdam residing, piano player Marta Warelis. Moor and Warelis both amazed as part of Frank Rosaly’s Ruidoscuro. at last years Summer Bummer Festival. For this exclusive occasion at AB salon they will perform for the first time ever as duo.

London born Andy Moor, lives in Amsterdam and is a founding member of Dog Faced Hermans and Kletka Red, and continues to be a full time member of The Ex since 1990. As guitarist, photographer and composer he is involved in collaborations with Anne-James Chaton, Alva Noto, Thurston Moore, DJ /Rupture, John  Butcher and Yannis  Kyriakides and has ongoing projects with improvisation groups Lean Left with Terrie Ex, Ken Vandermark and Paal Nilssen-Love and Thermal with Butcher and Thomas Lehn.

 

Pianist Marta Warelis is one of the mainstays of the vibrant Amsterdam improvscene. As a prominent member of Amsterdam’s Stichting Doek she creates opportunities for experimentation, research and performance and collaborates frequently with renowned artists such as Dave Douglas, Eric Boeren, Michael Moore, Ab Baars en Mike Reed or bands as Hupata!, Omawi, PolyBand, Frank Rosaly’s Ruidoscuro., Edge Ensemble. In 2021 she surprised with Blue to Green, a superb release with legendary violinist Carlos Zingaro, cello player Helena Espvall (Espers) and guitar player Marcelo dos Reis.
