Spanish jazz vocalist now wants Belgium at her feet too
‘A jazz celebrity is born.’
(The Guardian)
‘Here talent is undoubted.’
(All About Jazz)
She still moves many a heart and easily sells out large venues in her homeland Spain. That's mainly due to the combination of her young age and impressive voice. The fact that she easily sings songs like Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah’, Chet Baker’s ‘My Funny Valentine’ or Jobim’s ‘Desafinado’ to new heights, does of course help too. She's a great admirer of singers like Billie Holiday and Sarah Vaughan.
She receives guidance from her mentor Joan Chamorro who is also an excellent bassist and saxophonist. Their latest album ‘Feeling Good’ certainly received a fine ****-review from All About Jazz.
