The best of Creed & Slash, all in one: Alter Bridge is back!
Alter Bridge
With the new album by Creed (guitarist Mark Tremonti, bassist Brian Marshall and drummer Scott Phillips) put on hold and the world-tour of Slash (singer Myles Kennedy) on it's last legs, the metal focus of this hard-rock quartet lies entirely on Alter Bridge once more. That will again be a serious serving of epic guitar-rock with Kennedy's galvanised throat-work, on LP number four!
That they can skilfully blow an audience's socks off has already been proven on their ‘Live At Wembley’-DVD, available since March ’12. So making the knees of an entire AB go to jelly this fall should be no big deal, with tremendous songs like ‘Open Your Eyes’ and ‘I Know It Hurts’ to their name.
The battle for the title of Best Hardrock Band - both Whitesnake (on 19 June) and 3 Doors Down (on 15 June) will put up a good fight - has certainly begun in AB. It's up to you to decide which of the three should run away with that honour.
Halestorm
Opener ‘Love Bites (So Do I)’ from Halestorm’s second album ‘The Strange Case Of…’ won the Grammy for ‘Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance’ this year. Brother and sister Hale, frontwoman and drummer, will ensure that the storm breaks early in the evening, with their sturdy power-rock. Be advised to brace yourself!
