60’s psych & garage-rock bathed in Californian sun!
In their upcoming third ‘Calico Review’ (out as of Sept ’16), this quartet further explores the drawn-out universe of psychedelic pop & surf, supplemented by 60’s garage-rock and steeped in a pleasantly scalding Californian sun.
All their previous releases – including the wonderfully melancholy, drawn-out ‘Worship The Sun’ from ’14 – were recorded with soulman Nick Waterhouse at their side. Whether this will be the case again is unclear, but in terms of record company they clearly felt a need for new horizons: they traded in Waterhouse’s Innovative Leisure label for Mexican Summer (which houses the likes of Connan Mockasin, Dungen and Quilt).
