From flirty jazz-pop to memorable ballads to insistent rock grooves: singer-songwriter Bert Ostyn and cohorts yet again prove to be musical masters.
Absynthe Minded moved to Paris for a month for the recording of their fourth, untitled album. They recorded twelve songs there, together with producer Jean Lamoot in the legendary Studio Ferber (Feist, Nick Cave,…). Here in their homeland they've now scored a huge hit with ‘Envoi’, an interpretation of a poem by Hugo Claus. The rest is history. They bagged four MIA’s, including for Best Album and Best Single, and ‘My Heroïcs Part One’ was crowned Best Belgian Song of the last 10 years on Studio Brussel. Before the crusade on Europe commences, they'll be playing a limited number of ‘Unplugged’ concerts in Flemish theatres. Not to be missed, certainly not the finale in the AB (remember the likes of ABBota 2010!?).
