AB & Beursschouwburg

In order to emphasise our good neighbourly (musical) relations, the Flemish Cultural Houses AB and Beursschouwburg began working together on a structural basis in September ’13. The two houses had already collaborated occasionally in the past. Both houses organise, on a regulary basis, a concert in the Beursschouwburg promoted by both and focusing on exciting and adventurous music. All with only one goal in mind: further enriching Brussels' cultural and musical landscape.

 

Abra, Abracadabra - we have come up with something beautiful again!

 

Abra, aka the self-confessed ‘Darkwave Duchess’ makes pop music for outsiders.
The Atlanta-based producer is praised for her smooth, catchy lo-fi R&B music. Her voice is sweet as candy and in combination with the supporting beats, her strong force blossoms. According to THE FADER, her music is reminiscent of Janet Jackson’s demo recordings back in the mid-80s.  We have not heard these recordings but can certainly relate to that comparison.
