José James is now an established figure in the Urban Jazz scene. He seamlessly finds the middle ground between the world of hip-hop and that of jazz. Legendary jazz label Blue Note has now also fallen for his impressive voice too. Early 2013 saw the release of his Blue Note debut 'No Beginning No End', involving the likes of Hindi Zahra. He knows how to surprise his audience in Belgium too: his AB projects around Billie Holiday (’12) and John Coltrane (’09) were inundated with ****-reviews and pianist/kindred spirit Jef Neve even sounds José James' praises too.
