Welcome back A Skylit Drive. This six-member post-hardcore formation from California now returns to AB, after a much appreciated show in the ABClub in November 2009 (then with Dance Gavin Dance in their wake). Their new album ‘Identity On Fire’ was just recently released and, again, thanks its unique sound to the combination of singer Michael Jagmin's great vocal range with the raw rasping of drummer Cory LaQuay and bassist Brian White. They're currently touring the States with Underoath and Thursday but this fall the European fans get their fix and, for you, this means a date on Thursday 13 October in the ABClub.
What's more, A Skylit Drive has a treat for their fans as they'll be towing along 3 bands.
I Set My Friends On Fire from Miami (Florida) has released 1 album to date - entitled ‘You Can't Spell Slaughter Without Laughter’ on the Epitaph label. We expect a successor from them too, in 2011. Woe, Is Me mixes post-hardcore with cracking electronica and so often approaches the sound of Enter Shikari, for example. The seven from Atlanta (Georgia) released its debut ‘Number[s]’ a few months ago and we can certainly expect a successor by the time the Skylit Drive tour commences. Sleeping With Sirens, again from Florida, have also promised a successor to their debut ‘With Ears To See And Eyes To Hear’ (on Rise Records – see too The Devil Wears Prada) for this year.
