Live streaming Amenra Mass V releaseshow on the 22nd of December 2012:
Due to the fact that this concert was completely sold out after 3 days AB and Amenra have decided to stream all the concerts (Amenra/Oathbreaker/The Black Heart Rebellion/Scott Kelly) through the website of AB (ABtv / www.abconcerts.be). It is impossible, because of production and technical wishes, to move the concert to the main hall so therefore we want to make sure that the fans who weren’t able to buy a ticket can also enjoy the concerts.

HUIS 23 - 16u30 entrance through AB Café / Steenstraat 23 – Start 17u. Still some seats available! Not to be missed!

Edwin Pouncey, music journalist (NME, The Wire), cartoonist (artwork for Sonic Youth, Sunn O))), Coil) and musician (Pestrepeller) takes us along on a personal selection of albums from rock’s most extreme subculture. The perfect introduction to an evening of Amenra and Church Of Ra by one of the specialists in the genre .
There will also be a The Wire merchandise stand present.

Inderdaad mich, vooraf klagen en zagen voor tickets, foutgeprogrammeerde bands, enz., maar na de concerten kraait haast geen haan met een concertverslagje. Jammer!

Spijtig van het domme, te voorbarige gezaag hier op de pagina was voor niets nodig. Top avond met eerst erg interessante talk van Edwin Pouncey in Huis 23, knappe expo en een super Amenra (uniek om ze op deze manier te zien).

Ik was vrij laat binnen, maar omdat iedereen inderdaad aan de merch bleef hangen was er maar vijf man in de Club toen ik die binnen kwam. Aan Scott Kelly heb ik me niet gewaagd, en ik was niet de enige blijkbaar. Bijna nog vergeten te vermelden dat Amenra uitzonderlijk sterk was.

Wat AMENRA precies was weet ik niet maar 't was ongelofelijk STRAF!! Het geluid, de setlist, het gebruik van licht, die twee schermen, de projecties ... En toen Scott Kelly bij Nowena 9.10 nog kwam meebrullen, Jesus WTF!!

En toen zat de ABclub tijdens het concert van Scott Kelly maar voor 3/4 vol! En bij Oathbreaker zat het wel vol maar konden we toch vlot binnen (want iedereen vond de Merchstand veel interessanter). Paniek voor niets dus.

Vooral de slechts 10 minuten tijd tussen het einde van Amenra en het begin van Scott Kelly wordt gezellig

@Kukl :Van Scott Kelly was al langer geweten dat hij in de Club zou spelen en ik hoop dat er enkel LUISTERAARS naar zijn set komen , maar ik had graag de andere groepen ook COMFORTABEL willen zien...Principe van eerst is eerst slaat nergens op; 't zijn geen solden...

Dit komt mij bekend voor; doen jullie dit speciaal voor mij? Dit is alweer heel erg lam! En alweer heel erg last minute. Als jullie eens graag tumult willen, zijn jullie heel goed op weg. Naast amenra had ik heel erg graag Oathbreaker en Scott Kelly gezien; maar we gaan het bij AR houden; ik heb gewoon geen zin in aanschuiven en/of drummen. Zeer amateuristisch mensen!!

Dus voor en na Amen Ra zal er een drommende massa van 520 mensen voor de deur van de Box staan, roepend "Hey, wij hebben hiervoor betaald en nu mogen wij niet binnen!?" Dat belooft! :)

@ Pops: géén enkele avond in de AB gaat door zonder dat de artiest zijn zegen heeft gegeven. Alles wordt steeds in overleg gepleegd met bands. Als Scott Kelly bijvoorbeeld absoluut niet in de grote zaal wil spelen met zijn akoestische set, kunnen we moeilijk - ondanks tegenargumenten - ingaan tégen de wil van de artiest uiteraard.

800 tickets voor de AB Box verkopen en dan 3 van de 4 concerten in de Club met capaciteit van 280 plaatsen laten doorgaan...Wie bedenkt zoiets, Gelukkig afgelopen donderdag van Scott Kelly in ideale omstandigheden in Tilburg kunnen genieten

't zal moeilijk worden om ze in 2013 te negeren vrees ik; Wolf, zeker live uitchecken; de AB en deKreun zijn uitverkocht maar ze komen ook oa in de MOD en 't Stuk. Op cd is 't sterk, live is 't fantastisch. En heb ze nog niet kunnen betrappen op een slecht concert. De AB zal mijn 17e keer worden; Kortrijk mijn 18e keer.

De wolf is zeker geen Amenra kenner, maar hun jongste worp, integraal te horen op de 3voor12 Luisterpaal, is een behoorlijk indrukwekkende pletwals. Schitterend!

tickets voor de AB en deKreun in de pocket; Kortrijk van een paar jaar geleden overtreffen zal moeilijk worden maar ik heb het gevoel dat het twee legendarische avondjes gaan worden. Fantastische band!!

"Oathbreaker" is een ijzersterk voorprogramma (niet voor niks op Deathwish Inc.). 't gaat fantastisch zijn om deze band in zo'n grote zaal te zien.
