Inventive paper theatre presents an ode to the power of imagination
Still is a wordless seated-show in two parts. A show in which the audience is taken along on a visual trip through the power of the human imagination.
The story:
Bruno was a strange boy. Always with his heads in the clouds. Only just with his feet on the ground. When war broke out in the city, he decided (together with the girl next door, Célestine) to fight back.
With fantasy as the weapon. With balloons as bombs and eyes as spyglasses, they manage to chase away the madness.
But now Bruno has now become an old man. Céléstine is no longer there. He looks back upon their wonderful life together with melancholy. Might he be able to dip deep into his fantasy and bring her back just one more time?
In STILL, Meandertaal's first seated-show, the players of the collective take the viewer along on a visual journey through the power of the human imagination. Two wordless tales sketch the exceptional course of the life of a man who attempts to escape the madness of the world and flee into his head.
