British psych-pop icon is hatching a comeback & a new LP!
Just like an obstinate and extremely tasty hallucinogenic mushroom, psych-pop icon Kula Shaker just keeps on shooting up out of the British soil. After the gigantic success of their debut ‘K’ in ’96 (propped full of hits like ‘Tattva’ and ‘Govinda’) and world hit ‘Hush’ (the original is by Joe South, also covered by Deep Purple), the band split in ‘99.
Five years later, chief-Shaker Crispian Mills kicked Kula Shaker back into action and that resulted in the albums ‘Strangefolk’ (’07) and ‘Pilgrims Progress’ (’10), but it had been quiet around the band again for a few years now. Until a little while ago when word blew in that they were quietly hatching a new album and a real comeback. Followed by an exclusive show in AB Club!
