Dark alliance from Ghent joins forces as part of Autumn Falls
KISS THE ANUS OF A BLACK CAT
Whether the band name resulted from personal experience is something that, in the name of good taste, we will not get into. But in October ‘15 sixth longplayer ‘To Live Vicariously’ by Ghent's “psychedelic neo-folk meets dark-wave” group Kiss The Anus Of A Black Cat will really become a fact, via Zeal Records (Isbells, Marble Sounds, Raketkanon) & Consouling Sound (Amenra, Madensuyu, Wiegedood).
Frontman Stef Heeren debuted in 2005 with droney-sounding, dark neo-folk and on the albums that followed he regularly sought out exciting new genres. Current final destination was the drum computer- and analogue synth-laced darkwave album ‘Weltuntergangsstimmung’ from 2012.
According to people in the know, KTAOABC’s latest issue reunites past and present, with real drum-work entwined in a dark pairing-dance of electronica, analogue synths and noise-y guitar outbursts. ‘Returning to it's roots by really evoking the punk ethos!’ is what can be read in the bio and we are far from having objections to that!
