Hypnotising, compelling and soul-soothing… Vintage Fink
The hypnotising, melancholy baritone of Finian Greenall, nom de plume Fink, has been captivating us for five albums long already. Even though his first issue ‘Fresh Produce’ on Ninja Tune was an electronic album, he remained loyal to the label when he reinvented himself as a soulful, folky singer-songwriter in 2006 with the acclaimed ‘Biscuits For Breakfast’.
His latest ‘Hard Believer’ coloured our summer and is, again, as compelling, refined, subtle and soul-soothing as the previous longplayers. This highly-strung bard never ever disappoints, and certainly not live when he and his intriguing band turn out to be quite a bit more intense than on an album.
In AB for the fifth time already, in various forms over the years. Each time, Fink sets the bar a little bit closer to legendary!
